Saturday Series: 4-Week Class on
NVC for Therapists
Have you been exposed to NVC and want to go deeper with it?
Curious about NVC and ready to learn more?
Longing to connect with colleagues who are interested in this compassionate practice?
Join us for my latest offering for therapists who are interested in Nonviolent Communication!
Imagine coming together with colleagues on a Saturday morning to explore ways to bring more empathy, compassion, and heartful honesty into all of your relationships, including the therapeutic relationship with your clients. If you feel something pleasant when you imagine this, it's probably because you think it could meet some needs. If so, please read on...
NVC was developed by Marshall Rosenberg, a psychologist and peacemaker who studied with Carl Rogers, the founder of the person-centered approach to psychotherapy. NVC is a practice of listening empathically, speaking authentically, and creating connections based on understanding, compassion, and respect. There are so many benefits to bringing the skills and principles of NVC into the therapy room, and I'm eager to share them with you!
This 4-week series will be an opportunity to focus on the three main skills of NVC, and will include teachings, discussion, lots of practice, and even (optional) homework.

October 20: Self-expression: Speaking From Your Heart
October 27: Putting it All Together
My mission is to support therapists in learning NVC as deeply as possible so that they can bring it into the therapy room with integrity, confidence, and skill. We can't effectively teach NVC to our clients until we have a deep understanding of it for ourselves. This is an approach that takes time and lots of practice to integrate. I'm here to help with that process and to contribute to it being a fun, relaxed, and connecting learning experience.
